Bicycle Service
A full service is usually carried out for a flat fee of £40.
This price can
vary depending on cycle type and condition.
A full service involves a total strip down,
frame cleaned , all bearings removed examined cleaned and re greased.
Chain checked for wear, cleaned and given
a light oiling.
Brakes and gears set up. Tyres, wheels and spokes examined, slight buckles removed if spokes allow.
I do my utmost to keep prices down. Nothing is renewed that is not worn out.

Suspension forks and hydraulic disc brakes are specialist items that require time and care when servicing, they are therefore not
included in a standard service.
If you need your suspension forks and/or hydraulic brakes serviced or just re pressurised
or bled, then please call to discuss. Shocks rarely go wrong, but an oil change and re inflation helps keep them in good condition.
Refer to your cycle manual for recommended oil change periods.
Parts for some suspension forks can after a few years
be difficult to locate.
Again, I will keep the cost at a minimum but please bear in mind, parts and lubricants for
these items are expensive.
If you wish, please feel free to source the parts etc yourself and bring them along.
Service includes; - Tyres checked for wear
and tear, inflated to correct pressure
- Spokes checked for tension, tightened if necessary
- Wheel
alignment checked, minor buckles removed (if possible) free of charge.
- Frame & forks checked for damage
and alignment
- Brakes removed cleaned, greased and cables checked
- Headset checked for wear, bearings
removed cleaned and re greased.
- Drive chain and chain set removed, checked for wear, thoroughly cleaned
and lightly oiled
- Gear set-up and indexing checked and adjusted if necessary
- General lubrication
- Wheels removed, inspected and cleaned
- Hubs checked & bearings removed, cleaned and re greased
- Bottom bracket cleaned, checked & greased
- Transmission items cleaned, inspected & lubricated
- Chain thoroughly cleaned and checked for stretch and wear.
- Brake and gear shifters lubricated
- Wash
